Dave Gout

During his working life, Dave worked as a history teacher at a high school in Zutphen. He also has many years of experience as a genealogist, including working at the State Archives in Gelderland in the position of correspondent.

Dave believes that searching for your ancestors and processing that data into a report on your family history is not only exciting and fun, but also important for discovering your own place in society.

This workshop mainly focuses on the sources that can provide data about ancestors and their living conditions. He does this using examples from his own family history.
